Has it ever happened to you that you walked in to a Bar and you were refused to be served Alcohol? The answer is – yes, and it will be the same today. Today is world Temperance day.
Temperance day comes from 18th century Britain where Temperance groups called on their social networks to refrain from drinking. Drinking alcohol was a daily habit back in the day and most people were intoxicated throughout.
Avoiding Alcohol was a social concern, therefore people wanted to ensure that society remained sober to carry out their day to day duties. One of the most concerning issues at the time was intoxicated men handling heavy machinery after the industrial revolution. These kinds of affects created unnecessary chaos in society.
Too much of anything is good for nothing! So today we will avoid alcohol and go home and enjoy our life with family and friends.
Cheers!
